A little movement for your quiet corner

Watch droplets travel along a spiral water track while ambient lighting adds a warm glow to your space. The dark wood-grain finish and copper-tone details bring a turntable-inspired look to a bedside table, reading nook or living-room shelf.

Set the mood at your own pace

  • Built-in water, forest and bird sounds
  • 15, 30 and 60 minute timer settings
  • Adjustable sound volume and water flow
  • LED ambient lighting with two glass lamp covers

Getting started

Place the unit on a level surface. Add approximately 4.4 US fl oz (130 mL) of purified water, keeping the intake below the water level without overflowing the tray. Connect the USB-C cable to a 5V/2A USB power supply.

The square button cycles through 15, 30 and 60 minutes, then off. Turn the round dial to adjust volume; press it to switch between volume and water-flow adjustment. Turn clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease.

Approximate dimensions: 9.65 × 7.28 × 3.35 in (245 × 185 × 85 mm).

On my desk

This is how mine looks next to the headset: warm ring lit, dark wood-grain top, two upright covers, and the copper-tone controls on the right. The USB cable runs behind the unit in the photo. I like that it looks interesting even when I am not playing one of the sounds. The spiral in the middle is what people lean over to inspect.

Birds, droplets, tea. Perfect.

Nice bedside accent

Warm light, pleasing water movement, and a timer I actually use. It does take up more of my nightstand than I expected, so I moved my stack of books elsewhere. Fine trade for the atmosphere.

Everyone asks about it

A friend thought it was a miniature record player until she noticed the droplets. Another asked if the little covers were lamps. It is a conversation piece in a way a regular sound machine never was for me. I also like having the 15-minute setting when I only want a short break.

A spiral worth staring at

I was expecting the sounds to be the main event. For me it is the water beads tracing the circular track. I can sit there following one all the way in, lose it, and start again with the next one. The wood-grain base keeps it from looking too clinical on my side table. My roommate calls it my “thinking machine,” which is fair.

Remember the water

The glow and sound are nice. I am less fond of remembering to change the water every few days, though that is part of owning a little water feature. Still glad I bought it.

Bird sounds by the window

I put it near my reading chair and use the bird option on quiet afternoons. The sound is there without taking over the room, while the water track gives me a reason to look up from my book now and then. Such a pleasant little corner.

My after-work pause

I get home, put my bag down, and turn this on before I start dinner. The water sound and the little droplets moving around the spiral give me something pleasantly unimportant to watch for a few minutes. Some evenings I pick birds, other times just water. The timer means I do not have to think about switching it off while I am busy. It is a strange mix of desk object, light, and sound machine, but that is exactly why it works in my apartment.

Bought it for the look. Kept it for the gentle water sounds.

Read the controls once

The timer button made sense straight away. I had to look at the instructions to learn that the round control switches between volume and water flow. Easy enough after that, just not obvious to me on day one.

Warm little glow

The ring light sold me.

Sunday morning soundtrack

Coffee on one side of the table, this little spiral on the other. I usually choose the forest sound and leave the volume fairly low. The droplets are what make me keep looking over, though. They follow the track in such a satisfying way. I thought I would use it mostly at night, but slow weekend mornings have become my favorite time to switch it on. It makes doing absolutely nothing feel like an activity.

Like a tiny indoor rainstorm, minus the gloomy weather.

Give it a proper spot

I first tried to tuck it into a crowded bookshelf. Bad plan: seeing the spiral from above is half the appeal, and I could barely see it there. It has a side table to itself now. You do have to make room for the power cable and remember the water, but the whole thing is lovely once it is set up.

Desk companion

The moving droplets give my eyes somewhere to rest between calls. I keep the sound low, set the 30-minute timer, and get back to work when it stops. A tiny ritual, but I really look forward to it.
